I embrace change. It brings about new opportunities and fresh self-renewal.

I welcome change in my life with open arms.

Change unlocks the door to new opportunities in my life so I can become a better person.

When I accept change, I walk through the threshold of fresh self-renewal.

Refusing to change is a recipe for becoming stale and irrelevant.

Change allows me to transform myself in order to improve my ability to reach my goals.

I am free to enlarge my vision by breaking old behavior patterns and forming new habits.

When I expand my view, the world feels like a bigger place where I can dream bigger dreams.

I actively seek new adventures each day by varying the activities I engage in.

I jump at the opportunity to try new experiences in order to feel young and fresh.

Small changes are the first steps in living an exciting life.

Taking new routes, meeting new people, and trying out new foods are some of the ways that I can introduce change into my life.

I embrace change because life is too short to be stale.

How I spend my days is how I spend my life, therefore I choose to spend my days filled with joy and excitement!

By constantly adapting, I keep myself active and free from boredom.

Today, I am trying something new, bearing in mind that I can learn new things and grow as an individual.

I choose to loosen up and allow myself to indulge in a new form of self-expression.

Making Lifestyle Changes Easier

At least 90 out of 100 people would tell you that they do not enjoy change.

Change is not easy because humans are creatures of habit.

You want to continue living in a certain routine once you have conditioned your body and mind to function in that way.

This makes you feel comfortable with your surroundings and decisions.

Even if you don’t like change, there are ways to make healthy lifestyle changes easier.

There are also tools you can use to welcome change into your life, even when you’re entering new uncharted territory.

Here are 3 ways to make lifestyle changes easier for you:

1. Determine Pros and Cons.

If you know you need to make changes in your life and you aren’t looking forward to doing so, you can do a simple exercise that will make the change easier to handle.

Take a sheet of paper, and on one side write “Pros,” and on the other write, “Cons.”

On the corresponding side you will write the pros and the cons of the change so you can see what the benefits and drawbacks might be.

You may realize as you complete this exercise that the very thing holding you back is the fear of change itself.

Seeing the pros and cons will help you realize how it will benefit you to make the change.

This allows you to warm up to the thought that change actually might actually be a good idea!

2. Incorporate the Change Gradually.

Another way to make lifestyle changes easier is to work up to them.

For instance, if the healthy lifestyle changes that you need to make center around ceasing your habit of smoking and drinking you may not want to quit cold turkey; instead you can work up to it.

Stop drinking every night with dinner, and then stop drinking for a few days at a time.

You can do the same thing with smoking so that you aren’t fighting the lifestyle change.

Preparing yourself both physically and mentally helps you to ease the change into your daily routine.

3. Use Affirmations.

Another way to help make lifestyle changes easier is to use positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations are statements that encapsulate the way you would ideally think or behave.

You can either create your own affirmations or look for statements that others have created.

The key is that you find an affirmation that speaks to you.

Words are powerful and, when you repeat the same words over time, they continue to resonate through your mind.

When the words are positive you’ll find that you can tap into the positive thought anytime or anywhere.

If you’re worried about making a healthy lifestyle change, you don’t have to be. Instead, you can remind yourself why you want to change by saying something like, “Change is healthy.

I do not get stuck in the same routines.”

When you repeat this often enough, it becomes your response to the anxiety you feel.

This makes changes easier for you to handle.

Some lifestyle changes are harder than others to become accustomed to even when we desire to make the changes.

Many times just one of these tips will help you to implement the change, while other times you may need to use a variety of methods to feel at ease about the change.

Use the “pro and con” method to see the benefits.

Then bring the change in gradually while you accept it through your affirmations.

These techniques will help you feel confident so you can enjoy the benefits of your new lifestyle.

I welcome change in my life with an open heart and mind.

Change keeps my life fresh and exciting. My life is enhanced by change.

When the monotony of my daily routine causes life to seem dull, change spices things up.

My heart and mind are open to change because I understand the benefits that breaking out of the routine brings.

I choose to embrace change like a newborn baby exploring the world for the first time.

I allow myself time to adjust to new life experiences. I remove fear and personal opinion while I allow change to take place.

My attitude toward change is positive. Not only do I accept change, I seek it.

I listen before I speak in order to give myself time to evaluate situations prior to drawing conclusions.

I embrace the differences in others and accept their ideas. I am confident enough in who I am to accept others’ suggestions.

Changes in my life are simply new paths to reach my destiny.

I trust that I am still on track to reach my final destination despite detours from my plans.

New experiences keep life unique and interesting. I am open-minded while remaining true to my values and beliefs.

I look forward to change because I enjoy adventure. I understand that, in order to achieve different results, changes have to be made to the way I live my life.

I embrace change as a vital part of my journey.

My mind continues to be at peace in the midst of change because true change begins in my heart.

Today, I choose to seek and embrace the gift of change in my life.

Conquer Your Resistance to Change for Greater Happiness and Success

Your instincts will often kick in and tell you to resist change.

This might happen without you even noticing it.

This happens because the body and mind are always looking for stability and balance.

However, whether you like it or not, the world is ever changing. If you don’t learn to change with it, your life will eventually become stale and unexciting.

If everything stays the same your whole life, you won’t be reaching your ultimate calling and your level of happiness and success will be mediocre at best.

The good news is that there are steps you can take to learn to conquer your resistance to change.

You’ll learn that it doesn’t have to be a huge insurmountable task; you can work slowly and efficiently to gradually allow the change into your life.

Instigate Changes Daily

One thing you can do to start getting used to the idea of change is to familiarize yourself with the feeling on a daily basis.

These don’t need to be large changes, but when you make the effort to step out of your comfort zone a little each day, you’ll start to see life from a different perspective.

When you make small changes, you’ll actually evolve your daily routine. You’ll discover quicker and more efficient ways of doing things.

Also, since you’re engaging in small changes, it won’t feel as shocking to you and you likely won’t feel an intense urge to resist.

The small changes can be as simple as trying different kinds of toothpaste, or reorganizing the files on your computer in a different manner.

They seem like boring tasks but this will set you up for a renewed mindset.

Take A Different Route To Work

You may be used to taking the same route to work every day simply because it’s the shortest.

Your brain then becomes so used to the routine that you’re basically on autopilot.

Taking a different route may take you longer to get there, but it’ll open you up to change.

You’ll have to think about where you’re driving and remain aware of your surroundings.

Eat Different Foods

You may think that you already know what you like and don’t like. It’s easy to fall into the routine of eating basically the same meals each and every week.

However, your diet can be an excellent way to bring about change in your life in a non-threatening way.

There are endless recipes and combinations of food out there. There are also many styles and cultures available when it comes to cooking your food.

You can make a goal with yourself to try adding something new to your diet every week.

You may end up not enjoying what you ate, but when you’re trying 52 new meals per year, you’re bound to find some new gems!

Remind Yourself What Change Has Brought You

At the end of the day, remember all the wonderful new experiences and relationships that change has brought you.

While there are inevitably bad things, there are sure to be many great things as well.

When you concentrate on the positive, you’ll keep up a good attitude.

Keep in mind that change is good for you. Since nothing in life is static, you need to make change a normal part of your life.

You need to be willing to move yourself forward to reach your ultimate goals. When you do, you’ll find that you’re happier and more fulfilled in life!
