By keeping organized and utilizing my time wisely, procrastination melts away.

Living an ordered life helps me accomplish my goals. I am so happy that I am in control of my projects and goals.

Being productive is important to me because I want to live an active and purposeful life and when I reach my goals, I feel proud of myself.

In order to be productive in my life, I keep organized.

It is important for me to find ways to organize my desk, to remove paper clutter from my life, and to arrange my home into a peaceful environment.

I do not put off tackling chores because I know that my neatness will make completing any given task easier.

By managing my time wisely, I stay on track.

Using calendars to mark important dates and meetings, writing schedules in my planner, and setting deadlines for myself, are all ways of making sure I use my time wisely.

Completing tasks is so much easier because I choose to manage my time effectively.

When I procrastinate, I feel frozen by inaction, but I can overcome this feeling.

By keeping organized and using my time wisely, procrastination melts away.

Warmth spreads from my fingers to my toes. All of that pent up energy is released and I am free to complete my projects.

It is such a relief to be organized. The systems I have in my life make my daily chores more manageable. I am able to classify projects and accomplish them in a sensible way.

Effectively using my time means I can get even more accomplished and by finishing my tasks, I am prepared for the excitement of a new challenge.

Because I am organized, I am able to minimize my daily stress.

I take the necessary time to be organized because I know that doing so minimizes my daily stress.

While it is sometimes tempting to rush into a work week or a project, I recognize that my time is like money; I have to spend some to gain some.

I organize my time to facilitate my goals by pruning off activities that drain me of my time and energy.

I recognize that, like everyone else, my time is not limitless. I choose to set aside specific times for those activities that are important to me and I let the rest go.

I set aside time at the beginning of each project to make sure I have a clear picture of where I am going and that I have the resources I need to get there.

This way I don’t end up whittling it away on pointless and avoidable activities.

For example, I see no point in wasting time hunting for my keys each morning, so I set a basket by the door to drop them in each night.

Supplies are stocked and organized by my desk to prevent wasted time and distraction when I am in the middle of my work.

A weekly menu eliminates waste when I shop and minimizes my time in the kitchen.

I take a few minutes to do each of these things on a periodic basis so I can have more time to focus on what is truly important in my life.

Save Your Money by Getting Organized

As you grow up and move out of the nest, it can be tempting to let tidiness and organization go out the window. The truth is, being messy can cost you money!

Good organization is the keystone to making and saving money and if you want to do either, you’ll find that you can easily make some progress by organizing your life.

Schedule Your Bills

The first expenses you have to worry about each month are your household bills like the rent or mortgage and utilities.

It’s all the more reason to be organized so you can manage your money to pay these on time each month.

Use a calendar, planner, computer program, or online banking account to schedule when your bills need to be paid.Any delay can cost you substantial late fees and finance charges.

If you set up electronic banking, make sure you understand exactly how the system works.Some programs will not allow you to make a payment on weekends or holidays while others may need a few days to process the payment.

Pay your taxes on time or early. Penalties as well as late charges are added if you don’t file the proper extensions.Hire an accountant to help with your preparation, especially if you work independently.

If you work independently, you may also want to consider paying your taxes quarterly so you don’t have to worry about them at the end of the year.

Organize Your Paperwork

All of your paperwork should be organized so you know exactly where your receipts, financial statements, and bills are filed.

There’s nothing worse than going in search of a needle in a haystack when a question arises.

Everyday take a look at your desk area and think about what pieces of paper you can immediately get rid of.A wastebasket by your desk is essential, as is a shredder to prevent identity theft.

Utilize file folders or a portable file container instead of having piles of papers on your desk or counter tops.This will prevent you from losing important pieces of paperwork under a landslide of unimportant junk.

Whether you have a substantial investment portfolio or just want to get started, consult with an expert who can help you reach your financial goals.

By organizing your finances, you’ll not only save money, but make it too!

If your current investments aren’t performing well, an advisor can help you move the money around to better performing funds that earn a higher yield or give you greater dividends.

Organize Your Life A Little Each Day

Do you have a feeling of despair at the mess in your home or office?

Maybe you’re not even dealing with a mess; you might have things fairly tidy, but maybe you can’t find a single thing when you need it.

If this sounds familiar to you, you need to think about what a good organization strategy can do for your productivity.

Being more organized will make your life easier as well as save you time at the end of the day.

If you’re interested in organizing your life, little by little, think about these organization strategies:

Tidy a Little Bit Every Day

Many of us shudder when it comes to cleaning. If you think that you have to break out the brooms and mops and spend the whole day cleaning, then you’re in for a surprise.

The truth is, by spending just ten or twenty minutes a day organizing your space, you’ll be making a huge difference.

Start with cleaning one area each day. This can be a deep cleaning or just a superficial cleaning but at least you’ll feel productive.

Once this becomes a habit, you’ll finish your cleaning faster and have more free time everyday.

Everything Has Its Place

When you’re organizing your workspace or your living area, everything needs to have a place where it “lives.”

For instance, scissors need to live in a specific box or drawer, as do other small things.

If something doesn’t have a specific home, it will wander, get lost and generally add to the clutter that pervades your area.

Take some time to really consider your options when it comes to making sure that everything has a place on a permanent basis.

Reminders

Get yourself a professional journal or a daily planner and use it.

Sometimes just the action of writing something down in a book can really help you remember where you need to be and when.

Other ways of reminding yourself of important events is to use post-it notes or an organizer on your cell phone.

Experiment and use whatever method works best for you and your lifestyle.

Throw It Away

When you’re looking to de-clutter your workspace, make sure you throw away things that you no longer need.

Everyday do a quick purge and get rid of things that pile up on your desk or kitchen counters.

This will get you more space and give you a better idea of what is going on in general.

Daily mail and papers are the biggest clutter culprits. Be sure to throw away any junk right away and file away any important papers.

The longer these things stay in a pile, the more likely they will get lost or forgotten.

Set Routines and Learn to Delegate Chores

Keeping a home organized and running smoothly can be difficult, especially if you have a large family.

Establish set routines so certain tasks are completed everyday and assign large chores, like laundry, to a specific day of the week.

This way you know exactly what chore has to be accomplished everyday.

Delegate chores to your spouse or children that are age appropriate.

Dividing the work among many family members teaches everyone how to work together as a team.

No one expects you to go from clutter-bug to super-organized overnight.

But by simply implementing a few of these tips into your life, you will re-discover what it’s like to be prepared and organized both in the workplace and at home.
