I must focus on the positive, constant things in my life.

I have so many beautiful reasons to be happy that I could never waste my time looking at the negative.

My eyes are fixed on the things that add life to me and my mind is anchored on valuable thoughts.

There is a song of thanksgiving on my lips.

I release myself from concerned thoughts of things beyond my control.

Temporary situations cannot consume me because I know they will not last.

Instead, I focus on my blessings.

My family is the rock under my feet that will never be removed.

They are the most constant force in my life.

Their love is unwavering.

I know I am loved regardless of whether I fail or succeed.

When I think of this, I am filled with joy.

Whenever I feel negativity creeping close to me, I speak to my heart.

I remind myself of all the things I have going for me, and the things I look forward to achieving in the future.

Regardless of how bad or good yesterday was, today the sun will rise.

Every morning, the sun rises as a reminder from heaven of the gifts we are given each and every day.

When I look at the sun, I am reminded that life happens one day at a time.

This thought prompts me to release my inhibitions and allows me to focus on the things that matter.

I pray to bring total healing to my body, mind, and soul. Praying brings a holistic aspect to my life.

Total healing is important to me because my body is not the only part of me that needs healing.

My mind and spirit needs attention as well.

Praying helps me heal all areas of my life: mind, body, and soul.

I like to feel complete and balanced.

If I only heal parts of myself, I am not balanced.

Praying helps bring holistic balance to my life.

My body is important; it propels me through life.

My mind is important; it is the matrix on which I live.

My spirit is important; it is my purpose. Each part is as important as the other.

Prayer heals my mind by providing a listening ear.

It heals my soul by helping me realize I have an ever-present connection with a higher power.

Prayer heals my body when I ask my higher power to help with my strength and recovery.

When I pray, I relieve my stress, which helps heal my mind, body, and soul.

Prayer is an excellent way for me to heal all areas of my life.

The more I realize that prayer is an important aspect of healing holistically, the more I am able to heal my mind, body, and soul.

I know that my life is a balancing act, yet today I will remember to pray so I can continue to enjoy total healing.

I surround myself with positive people, just like me.

I surround myself with positive people because I believe that, next to my own determination to live fully, the company I choose to keep determines the quality of my life.

I aim for authenticity in my relationships and have no need or desire for people to pretend with me.

I let go of the idea that being positive requires a permanent grin on my face.

However, I also free myself from the effects of those who would drag me down by their perpetual focus on all that is wrong or unfair in their lives.

I pick my closest friends among those who can acknowledge their challenges and all their feelings, including anger and resentment, but don’t get bogged down in them.

They analyze their problems in search of solutions, and they help me do the same.

Sometimes life is tough, and I want my friends to be able to admit their difficulties to me, just as I want to be able to be honest with them.

Together we will help each other find and draw out the beauty and opportunities that are just waiting to be discovered within each new challenge.

I trust in the love and support of my family.

I trust in the love and support of my family because I know that we are bonded far deeper and more permanently than any mere friendship.

We have a common history and heritage with intertwined memories and dreams.

Our past, present and future are linked with each other.

For these reasons, I make the relationship within my family a priority.

I acknowledge that sometimes we see less than eye-to-eye on matters, yet the fact that we are interconnected for life gives me the security to dig deep and work toward understanding and solutions.

While I sometimes wish I could pick and choose my family as I do my friends, I know that relating to my own kin develops far more depth to my character.

In the end, it’s my family who will stick by me when the going gets tough.

I invest in the valuable bonds of my family relationships by addressing conflict when it arises rather than allowing it to simmer.

I value our relationship far too highly to allow it to be corroded that way.

I also deepen our bonds when I simply spend time with them.

I don’t need an excuse to have dinner with them, go shopping together, break out the board games, or simply sit and chat.

When I am with my family, I can be myself. I treasure that and do whatever I can to build on it.

I work at a constant, comfortable pace.

Because I always keep the big picture in mind, I work at a constant, comfortable pace.

I resist the temptation to be like the driver who zips in and out of traffic, endangering others, wasting gas, and taxing his brakes, only to arrive at his destination a mere minute or two ahead of those who cruised comfortably along behind him.

What I learned in physics class holds true in less tangible areas of my life: changing speed or direction uses up energy.

When I find a course I am content with, I proceed along at a constant pace so I can utilize my energy to its optimal potential.

I resist the urge to dart off full-speed.

I pay attention to my limits and create a routine I know I can follow, tuning in to my own needs for rest and refreshment.

In doing so, I avoid energy loss and eventual burn out.

I am far more productive in the long run for having had realistic expectations of my own capabilities from the start.

I let go of the desire to impress others with my skills or speed.

I keep my eye on my goal, set a pace I am confident I can maintain, then I begin.

I know I will have the time and energy to accomplish what I set out to do by consistently moving forward.

Life changes line up with my goals, beliefs, and attitudes.

My life is organic, so it is always changing.

Like a flower, my roots are always spreading and my limbs extend toward the sun.

Changes enter my life and I adjust.

Because changes are a part of living, I am not surprised when something unexpected happened.

Being prepared to alter my plans or accommodate new circumstances shows that I understand the important nature of change.

I am confident that no matter what may come my way, I can realign myself to incorporate the change.

I imagine a beautiful potted flower.

As the flower has grown, it has lifted itself toward the sun.

However, if the position of the pot were to change, the flower would continue to thrive and simply adjust, its petals again searching out the sun.

Sometimes I imagine my goals, beliefs, and attitudes as the bright sun and picture myself as the beautiful flower.

I am reminded that, even if my direction is turned, I will continue to grow toward the sun.

Thinking of my life in these terms helps me see that I am drawn toward good things and positive experiences.

Changes in my life do not intimidate me.

When my life changes, my goals, beliefs, and attitudes will adjust as well. This is a natural part of living and growing.

As I grow, I come closer to reaching my goals.

Even if I must alter my path, I find that I am blessed because I can overcome change and emerge as a more balanced person because of the experience.
