Using Affirmations to Discover the Joys in Your Life

Affirmations are simple statements we can use to improve our self-esteem, help us reach a goal, break a bad habit, find love, or even discover joy in our lives.

Positive affirmations work hand in hand with our subconscious to make lasting changes for the better.

Many times we may already experience joy, but we don’t know celebrate it enough.

Sadly, at other times, we aren’t even aware that it’s present.

Positive affirmations can help you rediscover that joy, peace, health, and happiness!

Here are some examples of positive affirmations and how they can improve your life:

1. “I’m worth it!” This positive affirmation tells us that we’re deserving of being happy.

If you’re feeling dejected or worthless, this affirmation can work wonders.

By using this affirmation on a consistent basis and coupling it with an open heart, you’ll see results.

You’ll realize that you’re more than deserving of happiness and joy.

2. “I go with the flow and my life is easy and filled with happiness.”

Are you feeling stuck in rut or completely stressed out?

This is an effective positive affirmation that helps you to release all that tension.

This affirmation helps you rid your mind of negativity so the joy that’s present can shine through.

This is a positive affirmation that will help with your stress and patience.

No matter how long it may take, you can be confident that only good things await you.

Even though you may be completely stressed out, this affirmation will help you to relax and slow down.

6. “I take time regularly to do the things that I love to do; I follow my heart and I am happy.”

This positive affirmation celebrates someone very important – you! You take the time to make yourself a priority and you’re an active player in your life!

To be happy is extremely important and joy will follow you wherever you go when you recite this affirmation frequently.

Joy is essential and our lives should be filled with it.

Positive affirmations allow us to refocus our lives to a point where we can be happy again.

Change is healthy. I refuse to get stuck in the same routines.

Just as I know that every day the sun will rise and set in its regular routine, I also know that each new dawn brings tremendous possibilities for change.

In nature, no day is exactly like the day before.

In the same way, even when my life seems routine, I realize the potential is there for me to change whatever I desire.

It is healthy for my mind and spirit to change every day routines.

Change keeps my mind sharp and my spirit energized.

When I need to complete the same tasks day after day, I can still accomplish them in different ways so I can avoid getting into a rut.

For example, my daily household chores can be done in any order I choose, so I change the order around each day.

Some days I dance while I do them and other days I sing.

Sometimes I listen to classical music and other times I rock out!

Mindless chores also give me the chance to think through new ideas and create action plans for achieving my goals.

After all, do I really need to think about garbage when I take out the trash?

Do I really need to focus on dirt when I vacuum?

I realize that the only way I can get stuck in the same routines and stagnate is if I allow myself to do so.

It is so easy to spice up the mundane, all I have to do is take swift action!

When life gets boring, I can expand my knowledge instead of watching TV.

I can learn a new hobby, practice a new skill, or go on an adventure.

Each of these changes sparks new passions and opens up even more opportunities for further fulfillment.

Today, I see life as different from any day that has come before.

I can grab hold of any opportunities I may have missed because I am willing to be adaptable.

I allow the feeling of change to create peace in my life.

The one constant of nature is change.

Nothing in life is completely static, and that is a good thing, too, because change opens the door to a myriad of possibilities every day.

This knowledge brings me peace and fuels optimism for my future.

When I am going through a troubling time in my life, I can feel comfort in the knowledge that, “This, too, shall pass.”

Without a doubt, things will change.

If I am at a low point, the only place to go when things change again is up.

I am grateful that I have the power to change my life.

If I am not satisfied with something, I can transform it to something better, discover the silver lining in the situation, or change my interpretation to a more positive outlook.

The tools that help me achieve happiness and success work because of the power of change.

Take affirmations, for example.

They work because they can change my outlook, attitudes, and entire life by changing one thought at a time.

Self-improvement tools work because of the power of change.

I know that I can develop new skills and capabilities for a better future.

Change is good! I let go of any desire to resist changes in my life and embrace new opportunities.

I allow a peaceful feeling to envelop me, even in the midst of constant change.

Today, I choose to look forward to, and take advantage of, any opportunities presented to me by the changes of the day.

I am patient with others and accepting of their differences.

I am glad that no one is exactly like me.

I like being unique!

The differences between me and everyone else bring beauty and excitement to my experiences, just as the different colors in the world bring brilliance to my life.

How boring life would be if we were all the same!

Each person I meet brings a feature to my life that is different from anyone else.

I realize that each person is a product of his or her unique experiences.

Our various perspectives of the events in life shape our thoughts, actions, and personality.

I have patience for others because I realize that they cannot possibly know exactly what I know.

They have different experiences, learn different things, and react uniquely to the same situations.

If it seems that others do not understand me, I accept it, because I am unique!

Others can sympathize with me and know what I am going through, but they cannot feel exactly the same.

For these reasons, I strive to strengthen my communication skills so we can better understand each other.

I try to step back from my perspective and see their unique view of things, too.

I acknowledge that the familiar saying, “You cannot truly understand someone until you walk a mile in their shoes,” is true and I keep that in mind when communicating with others.

Today, I strive to feel a greater understanding of the true differences between others and me and I appreciate the way those differences bring a greater richness to my life.

I am tipping the scale of time management in my favor by removing stagnation and adding motivation.

My time management skills weigh in with a lot more benefits when I replace the activities that waste my time with the things that inspire me.

This one replacement allows me to be more productive in less time and still have plenty of room in my schedule for rest and relaxation.

When I do the things I enjoy, they rejuvenate me, making me even more motivated when I return to my tasks!

I recognize that stress and worry are the heaviest causes of stagnation.

They waste my time, distract my focus, and turn productive energy into harmful effects.

The more stress and worry I can remove, the better off I am.

I choose to replace worry with optimism and a joyful outlook on life.

When I know deep down that everything will turn out for the best, I have less stress.

When I remember to look for the silver lining, I am choosing to appreciate the best that life has to offer.

Instead of worrying about things at night before I sleep, or starting off my day worrying what is to come, I use this time to meditate, relax, and revive my motivation.

Instead of spending so much time watching television, I actively engage in self-improvement activities to boost my body, mind, and spirit.

Today, my plan is to take note of all activities that I feel are wasting my time and replace them with something that inspires me.
