I trust that there is a plan for my life, even if it has yet to be revealed.

I enjoy the fact that life is a bit of mystery and that I can’t possibly predict the future.

It keeps my life exciting!

I relax and enjoy each day because I am confident that I was put here for a reason.

In following my dreams, I am gradually unfolding and revealing that purpose.

I believe the Creator put me together with my unique set of dreams, interests, and talents for a reason.

I am confident in this plan, so I happily follow my heart.

When I cross stitch, I put many hours into hundreds of tiny stitches in the fabric.

Each, on its own, amounts to but a speck of color.

If I turn the canvas over, all I see is a mess of knots and tangled threads.

Yet I continue to follow the pattern and place stitch after stitch, knowing that, in the end, a beautiful picture full of color, light, and substance will be revealed.

Just as with needlework, I do not expect the picture of my life to be revealed all at once.

My life is a work of art and a labor of love.

I am content to put in my daily stitches, confident that, in time, the picture will be revealed.

It is easy for me to focus on healthy solutions.

Because I seek solutions that lead to greater understanding and healthier relationships, I focus on attacking the problem, not the person.

I recognize that we are all affected by a multitude of factors, and any number of things could be contributing to the issue at hand.

I am mature enough to set aside any initial hurtful desires so that I can take the time to gain understanding of the issues involved.

I value my relationships for the richness they add to my life.

The quality of these relationships greatly enhances my enjoyment of life as well as my productivity.

Quality relationships are carefully crafted over time.

Because I want my relationships to be of the highest quality possible, I take the time and make the effort to nurture and develop them, even when it’s difficult.

I recognize that others have feelings and ideas as valid as my own.

Since I know that life only moves forward, and we cannot turn back the clock, I am careful to speak only words that lead to greater understanding and better relationships.

My energy is focused on positive solutions.

My energy is focused on positive solutions because I recognize the importance of continually moving forward.

I know that being content with what I have and where I am going helps me achieve my goals.

I have let go of the need to list all that has gone wrong or might go wrong.

I plan ahead so I can be prepared, and I focus my time and energy on what I want to see happen.

Then I lay out the steps I need to take in order to achieve my goals.

I recognize that others may see things differently than I do.

I respect the advice of those older and more experienced than me, but I also realize that I have the best understanding of my own capabilities.

I use the experience of others as stepping-stones to my own success, but I let go of the idea that I need everyone to be enthusiastically behind me in order to move forward.

Because I have put careful thought and planning into my goals, I am confident that I am making wise choices and continue to forge on, regardless of whether or not people understand or agree with me.

I let go of the paralyzing effects of negativity and reach, instead, for the energizing empowerment of positive focus.

No matter how I am feeling, I simply begin. I am able to build momentum to accomplish anything.

No matter how I am feeling, I keep my eyes on my goal and take the next step in front of me, knowing that this is really all I can do!

I am fully aware that anything worth having is going to take time to create.

I let go of laziness and the expectation that everything should be handed me, complete and instantaneous.

I live in a fast food society, but that does not mean that I have to have a fast food mentality.

I prefer to live a higher quality life and am prepared to do the work necessary to achieve it.

I let go of my fears, since every project can be broken down into manageable steps.

After all, a house is built one brick after another.

A book is created word-by-word, page-by-page, and chapter-by-chapter.

Relationships, too, are built step-by-step: this moment, that discussion, and gestures of hope or love.

I do not expect to build the whole house, write the entire novel, or develop a relationship in one fell swoop.

I simply take the first step, regardless of how I am feeling at the moment.

If I get to a place where I need help, I can ask for it without shame.

I choose to continue to move toward my goals, knowing that each whole is created from tiny parts and that anything worth having is worth the time and patience required to put those tiny parts together, one at a time.

Prayer and meditation are my rock during stressful moments.

Prayer and meditation are my connection to the source of peace.

When I am stressed, praying and meditating help me to stay calm.

I stand firm on prayer and meditation when the waves of uncertainty come my way.

Prayer is my way of getting my inner self into focus.

When I feel myself getting overwhelmed by responsibilities, I am able to pray as a way to clear my mind and organize my thoughts.

When I pray, I build up my faith. I speak to my Creator, sharing my fears, thoughts, and feelings.

I pray in a quiet place, where I can shut off the noise from the world.

After I pray, I sit in silence and wait.

I listen to the voice of peace that speaks to me in stillness.

When I meditate, I strengthen the core muscles of my being.

Meditation keeps me from drowning in fear and stress.

I strengthen my mind against negativity by meditating.

I am stronger than negative thoughts.

When I meditate I think of things that are pure, lovely, and right.

The more I meditate about goodness, the more it becomes a part of me.

Whatever I set my mind on, I become.

Therefore, I think lofty thoughts.

When I pray I declare my dreams as reality.

Prayer is an act of faith.

I know that there is someone bigger than me who cares for me.

I do not have to face the world alone.

What a joy it is to know that I do not have to figure everything out by myself!

There are ears ready to hear me when I call.

All I have to do is sit quietly in prayer and meditation.
