I joyfully treasure each moment with my family.

I joyfully treasure each moment with my family because they are the source of my greatest strength and joy.

While we certainly have moments when we disagree, we are each other’s foundation.

No matter where we go in life or what we end up doing, we will always have each other.

We are like a child’s paddle ball.

Our time together infuses us with the energy we need to go out into the world, but the bonds that connect us draw us back, again and again, to renew ourselves for yet another foray.

My family knows me better than anyone else, and they love me for who I am.

They may disagree with me from time to time. Sometimes they are even quite vocal about their disagreements!

But I know that they will always be there for me and that I don’t have to prove anything to them to warrant their love and affection.

My family members are my forever friends.

I have other friends, of course, and treasure them for a variety of reasons.

But I cherish my family most of all and invest the bulk of my attention and energy in them.

Friends and peers come and go, changing with the seasons of life, but family is forever.

In order to share happiness with others, I must also be happy.

I cultivate my own happiness in order to infect the people around me with joy.

Joy is contagious, but it would be impossible for me to share something that I do not have.

I love to share what I have been given.

My life is filled with blessings and love. As a result, the song on my lips is always an anthem of joy.

I start the morning with a prayer of gratitude so that, as I walk through my day, those blessings remain fresh in my mind.

My joy is evident to others. When others see me they know that I am happy and they want what I have.

The golden rule is my standard for living and giving.

I give to others what I would have them give to me.

I know that I would hate to live my life without joy.

I cannot even imagine it. Therefore, I give others the greatest gift I have received.

My greatest reason for happiness is to know that I am loved and forgiven.

I make sure that I love and forgive others so they can experience the same ecstasy.

The miracle of happiness is that the more I give away, the more I end up with. Whenever I smile, I get a smile back.

Whenever I give to others, I am fuller. Whenever I try to cheer up someone who is down, I am the one who gets picked up.

I refuse to let any situation get me down.

I am watchful to carry a positive attitude on my keychain as the key that unlocks happiness.

By owning my happiness I can share it with others selflessly.

I reclaim my health by taking care of myself today.

Now that I am adult, I am responsible for my own health.

In order to reclaim it, I sometimes need to go back and parent myself into a healthier lifestyle.

There are many things I can do, even today, to help myself along.

First of all, I recognize that what I put into my body affects my energy level, stamina, and productivity, not to mention my ability to stay healthy.

I choose to give my body foods that provide fuel and nutrients rather than empty calories that simply pack on pounds that I don’t need.

I also make exercise a priority.

I have let go of idea that I have to be either a master athlete or a couch potato.

It’s perfectly acceptable for me to be somewhere in between.

While gym memberships and structured exercise programs can be valuable tools, I can be healthy without them by making a few minor changes to my lifestyle.

Walking or biking to work, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and engaging in outdoor play with my children are all excellent forms of exercise.

Any movement is good for my body.

Lastly, I make sure to respect my body’s need for rest.

I have a set time when my day is done.

The vast majority of the time, whatever is unfinished can be picked up the following morning.

I have let go of the idea that I need to pack as much into each day as possible.

Instead, I keep an eye on the big picture because I know that pacing myself and getting the rest I need will enable me to reach my peak productivity level.

I make time to play with my children.

I take time to play with my children because they help me remember what is truly important in life and remind me to keep my priorities in line.

Children are able to achieve a level of happiness that often escapes adults.

When I play with my children, I am reminded to slow down and truly experience the thrill of the moment, whether it involves chasing a butterfly or blowing soap bubbles or hitting a baseball over the back fence.

My children’s eagerness to learn and explore helps me stay in touch with my own inner self, with its inborn craving to learn and grow.

When I play with my children, I am reminded that there is far more to life than how much I earn or what kind of car I drive.

The more time I spend surrounded by the innocent eagerness of children, the less any of that seems to matter.

I want to hang onto the eagerness and openness that I had when I was a child.

I want to be so eager to learn that I can’t stop asking questions (even if, as an adult, I often have to try to answer them myself!).

I want to be so enthralled with the natural world that I can lose all track of time because I’m so absorbed in watching it unfold around me.

I want to be so caught up in the moment that I experience life with my entire mind and all my senses.

While I do teach my children the skills they need to thrive as adults, they teach me just as much about staying connected with the best and truest part of myself.

I let go of all angry feelings.

Angry feelings are not beneficial to me, so I release them.

I live my life in a positive light and let go of negative feelings that creep into my mind.

I am receptive to all emotions and all feelings in my life and welcome them; however, I am able to let go of feelings that do not benefit me.

Anger is a normal emotion, along with the feelings that go with it.

Like anyone else, I have times when I feel angry.

This feeling does nothing to benefit my body, mind or spirit.

I let go of anger and do not allow its negative energy to consume me.

I have unique ways of releasing my anger.

I use methods such as meditation, venting and expression to release my feelings of anger.

When I hang onto anger it is often due to other conditions such as stress or being overly tired.

I calm my mind, light a candle, and put on soft music. I am able to meditate on calm feelings and release my anger.

When anger has lingered, I can release this anger by venting.

Letting it all out allows me to exhale the anger as I inhale peacefulness.

Another way I can release pent up anger is by expressing my emotions.

I use my creativity and artistic talent to express my feelings and release them.

I can pop balloons that have the things I am angry about written on them or I can blow out candles that represent my anger, thus blowing the anger away.

Today, I will release angry feelings using creative and unique methods.

I will replace these feelings of anger with healthy calmness that fills me with peace and love.

I am fulfilled by the power of helping others.

Helping others gives me a sense of purpose and reaffirms my beliefs about myself.

My life has a purpose which is revealed to me through my interaction with others.

I have talents and abilities that I can use to help others. Helping others makes me feel useful.

My value and worth are clear when I see that I am useful. When I help others, I feel like I am part of a bigger picture.

I am not only involved in my own life, but in the lives of others who need me.

Being needed gives me a prestigious feeling of importance because there are things that no one in the world can do quite like me.

Helping others helps me be aware of how much I matter. When I help others, I feel welcome and wanted.

I boost my confidence when I realize that my time and attention are craved. Others want to be around me and want to work with me.

Each time I lend a hand and see the fruit of my labor I can’t help but feel fulfilled. I can touch others.

I can come into a situation and change it for the better.

A great sense of accomplishment overcomes me when I see the look on others’ faces and realize that I made all the difference in the world to them.

When I provide assistance to others I feel knowledgeable because I am able to lead others to long-lasting solutions.

I have information, skills, and knowledge that others seek and helping others brings out the best in me.
