I can safely communicate my feelings with others.

When I keep the focus on myself I can express my feelings without fear.

I am the only one who fully understands what I feel and the better I can express these feelings the better I will be understood.

I express my feelings in a healthy way and this creates a safe platform for me.

I let others know what my feelings are regardless of what they may be.

By focusing on my own feelings and using “I” statements to express them I am communicating in a safe and healthy manner.

I avoid blaming statements and choose instead to relate to how a situation makes me feel.

When someone does something nice for me and makes me feel special I communicate these feelings with that person.

Likewise, if I am upset by a situation I choose to communicate these feelings constructively.

I explain what I am feeling and why I am feeling this way.

I share only my feelings and how certain words or actions have made me feel.

This is a healthy way of communicating and therefore is safe.

I share my healthy attitudes with others when I communicate in this way.

Today, I choose to share my feelings even if I feel a little uncomfortable doing so.

I will remember to use “I” statements that simply relay how I feel.

I will share this safe platform for communication to others who also wish to communicate their feelings with me.

I allow myself to feel the calming effects of peace.

I do not sweat the small stuff.

Little things that are happening around me cause me no concern.

I maintain a calm feeling in my daily life and I can handle the little things that go awry around me.

Often when things happen that are out of my control I can look at them and laugh at the irony of the situation.

I have room in my life for a few stray incidents.

Life is interesting and things happen every day that are out of my control.

This is okay; it adds to the interest.

I can remain calm when little incidents happen because they do not hinder my day or my life in any way that I cannot manage.

Often the little incidents that happen are kind of funny.

Today I can find the humor in these situations.

I can remain calm throughout these situations because I have a base of calmness that surrounds me.

I seek out a calm state of mind on a daily basis; this helps me to avoid unnecessary worry over the little things that happen in life.

I surround myself in a blanket of calmness by getting the rest that I need, avoiding over-scheduling, and allowing myself to enjoy my hobbies.

This blanket of calmness protects me from life’s little upsets.

Today I will make sure I am surrounded by my protection of calmness and will be able to endure life’s little quirks and upsets.

I will remain calm, regardless of what may come.

I will learn to laugh instead of worry.

I am where I want to be in life.

I have realistic expectations of myself and I let go of the idea that I must be perfect and have all my dreams at once.

It is good to have clear goals – and it is good to know what I want out of life and know how I plan to get there.

But all I really have is the present.

I let go of the tendency to trample on this moment, to devalue the beauty of now in my pursuit of someday.

Because of the power of momentum, I strive to learn how to slow down in my constant quest for more in order to acknowledge the beauty and value of where I am.

As long as I am continually growing and moving forward, I am content.

I let go of the idea that my happiness hinges on getting everything I want.

I strive to be my best and I let that be enough.

As I let go of the idea that I can control the future, I find myself opening up to a new level of richness and beauty that is only available to those who slow down and recognize the value of this moment.

I appreciate and acknowledge the love and support I receive from my family.

I would be nothing without the love and support of my family.

My family is not only my support but also the foundation for who I am.

My family is always there for me when I need them.

I am blessed to have such an incredible family.

Daily, I thank God for my family.

I also make it a point to regularly thank my family for their presence in my life and for being just who they are.

I truly feel privileged to have my family’s support in all of my endeavors.

Hearing a word of praise from a member of my family means the world to me.

They cheer me on when I am winning.

My family accepts me when I come up short.

No matter how the game is going, they are always in my corner.

Fame is meaningless to me.

An ovation from a cheering crowd of strangers pales in comparison to the pleasure I get from my family’s admiration.

My purpose in life involves more than mere fame and fortune.

It involves making a difference in the lives of others.

My family pushes me to be my best and to live the best life that I was created to live.

They teach me virtues that will get me to the place I want to be.

When life begins to cloud my view, my family keeps me focused on my dreams.

I treasure my relationship with my family like gold; hard times are the fire that refines that gold.

Going through hard times together strengthens our bond.

Even the moments with my family that I do not wish to re-live have taught me valuable lessons that help me be a better person today.

I honestly voice my frustrations.

My opinions are valid, so I am honest about my feelings.

I find constructive ways to communicate with the people in my life.

Everyone has frustrations.

Annoyance and anger are natural human emotions.

The best way to rid myself of these feelings is to acknowledge that they exist and to move forward.

Since I am in touch with my feelings, I know when I become angry or frustrated.

As a calm and rational adult, I realize I must voice my frustrations in order to rid myself of them.

Honestly voicing my frustrations is the best way for me to move past them.

I think of each frustration as a pesky fly.

They are nothing more than small annoyances.

If each frustration I have is a fly, I imagine what would happen if all of those flies were to become trapped in a bottle.

Picturing the chaos as these flies frantically search for an escape reminds me that I have a choice.

Instead of trapping the flies in a bottle, I can choose to release them.

By taking the lid off of the bottle, I allow each fly to escape.

All of the negative energy is gone, and the bottle becomes a calm space.

By comparing my frustrations to flies in a bottle, I can see the importance of releasing my frustrations.

I imagine each frustration soaring away from me, and I am calmed by the image.

I refuse to let frustrations fester in my life so I take healthy steps toward letting go of petty annoyances.

Sharing frustrations with others is therapeutic.

I am relieved that I have the choice to honestly voice my frustrations and move forward.

I give myself permission to love and be loved.

Loving others is exercise for my soul.

Each time I embrace someone, I burn away the unwanted weight of hatred and bitterness.

Love is the most basic of human feelings. We are born to love and be loved.

Not only do I give myself permission to love, but I also require myself to look at others through compassionate eyes.

Love is a choice. Love is not an emotion that rules my actions.

Love begins in the mind when I make a decision to love. I express it with my actions and eventually it lands in my heart.

Infatuation is a feeling that takes over the body but disappears after time. Love is different.

The seeds of love take time to grow. Once they take root, it is impossible to remove them.

I love with passion. I love unconditionally. I love faithfully.

I accept the love of others.

I never question whether others truly love me because I fill my mind with positive thoughts.

When others tell me that they love me, I believe them.

When others extend their love to me, I grab it.

I lay down my guard around others.

When I allow myself to be vulnerable around others, they see a side of me that is easy to love.

I love because there is much more to gain from loving relationships than from relationships of envy and hate.

By focusing on their positive traits, I can convince myself to love even the most difficult people.

I can love those whom I have difficulty accepting.

The more I love them, the easier they are to accept.

When I have a hard time loving someone, I pray for them.

I have found that it is hard to deny loving someone when you care enough to pray for them.
