I nourish and satisfy my mind, body, and soul.

I give my mind, body, and soul what they crave to flourish and in return they enable me to live the most fulfilling life.

I nurture my mind with imagination and knowledge and help it build attitudes of success.

With meditation, I visualize happiness.

Through reading and learning, I feed it new ideas on which to ponder.

I foster good habits, confidence, and self-esteem with positive affirmations, repeating them throughout the day as the need arises.

I nourish my body with nutritious foods and exercise.

Eating right gives my body the nutrients it needs for optimum performance, clear thinking, and a strong immune system.

Exercising relieves stress, distributes fresh bursts of oxygen throughout my body, keeps me in tip-top shape, revives me, and makes me feel good all over!

When I feel good and know that I look good as well, I have the passion, confidence, and energy to take on the world! I feel as if nothing can stop me.

Challenges become just a bump in the road on my path to success.

I feed my soul with a close connection to my Creator.

I feel gratitude for all the good things I am blessed with and the wonderful things just waiting for me to discover and bring into my life.

Every day is like a dance with my spirit!

Today, I choose to celebrate my mind, body, and soul and feed them what they crave, knowing that these things will bring me a wondrous life.

Understanding Mind Mapping and How You Can Effectively Use It

Mind mapping is a great tool you can use to improve the flow of information in your life.

It structures together information in a way that makes it easier for you to comprehend, analyze, and come up with new ideas as well.

With mind mapping, concepts are graphically represented, allowing you to actually picture the ideas.

It’s a very simple method of organizing thoughts and ideas.

What Is Mind Mapping?

To illustrate mind mapping, let’s start with a typical handwritten list of goals.

Now add action steps to this list and draw lines to show how one action relates to another.

All of a sudden your list mushrooms into a map and you need more paper to write on! That’s a basic mind map.

Mind maps work well with your brain because you’re using a structure that’s very close to the way your brain works.

It includes artistic and analytical activity, getting your brain more involved in the information.

You may even find mind mapping to be fun!

By using a mind map, it’s easier to see how things on your list relate to each other and how to prioritize your projects.

Benefits of Mind Mapping

Mind maps jog your brain’s creativity and make information easier to learn, remember, and work with.

Mind maps allow you to envision the big picture and how each part contributes to it.

Mind maps help you focus on the important projects and tasks that are most beneficial for your business or career.

Various Uses for Mind Mapping

Mind maps are a new way of formulating a list of ideas into a visual plan.

They’re excellent tools for brainstorming, whether it’s for personal, work, or educational purposes.

Mind maps are great for taking notes as well, making notes much easier for students to visualize and remember.

When it comes to memorizing and studying information, mind maps can make the job easier and less time consuming.

Mind maps also simplify problem solving and planning.

They work wonderfully for presenting information, from simple to complex.

If you’re trying to find a way to get that creativity flowing, a mind map may be the perfect solution.

In addition, when you’re researching information from a variety of different sources, a mind map can help you consolidate it all.

Mind maps come to life as you add in the details.

They help you form action steps and timelines to reach your goals and bring you the success you desire.

How to Make a Mind Map

Making a mind map is easier than you may think.

You’ll need a large, blank piece of paper and something to write with.

You’ll want to start out in the middle of your paper so that there’s room to expand in any direction.

Here are the steps to creating a great mind map:

Draw or write down a specific idea.

Around the main idea, illustrate or write out different subtopics or tasks that relate to it.

Draw lines to connect your subtopics to the main idea.

For each subtopic, you can go on to develop more details and ideas, drawing lines to them as well, until everything is connected together.

There are also various mind map software tools freely available online.

Once you start putting your ideas into a mind map, you’ll be able to see your projects with clarity and accomplish your goals with ease.

How can mind mapping help you in your busy life?

How often do you need time to rest and organize your thoughts?

How To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

Many people go through their lives without understanding why they make the same mistakes, follow the same patterns, and live in the same ruts.

They aren’t happy with their present situation, but they seem to be unable to make any lasting changes.

Are you one of these people?

Perhaps you’ve attend seminars, read books, and taken courses, but, in the end, fallen back into the same dysfunctional patterns you’ve always followed!

Why does it always turn out this way?

We struggle to make permanent changes in our lives because we input information only into our conscious mind.

Here’s the problem: your conscious mind is not what directs your behaviors and belief system.

To change your behaviors, you must first reprogram the hard-wired center of your mind: the subconscious mind.

How Does Your Subconscious Mind Work?

The subconscious is the largest part of our mind. It contains all the messages we’ve received throughout our lives.

It holds millions and millions of thoughts grouped into clusters that form beliefs, mindsets and character traits.

The relationship between the conscious and subconscious minds is like an iceberg.

The conscious mind is represented by the visible tip of the iceberg, while the subconscious is represented by the gigantic lower portion of the iceberg hidden from view.

You can’t see the subconscious in action, but it certainly has a major impact on the voyage you take in your life.

The subconscious is the place where all of your learned behaviors reside.

Once you learn to walk, you don’t need to consider how to lift and place each foot to take the next step, do you?

Of course not! Your subconscious mind automatically controls your steps.

Your subconscious learns behavior through repetition and practice.

Just as it learned to control your footsteps when you learned to walk, it also controls your footsteps in your life’s journey based on what you’ve reinforced throughout your life.

The good news is you can reprogram your subconscious mind by inputting and reinforcing new thoughts and actions!

There are several different techniques you can use to tap into the subconscious mind and reprogram how it works.

Here are some strategies you can use to change your mind and change your life:

1. Affirmations.

Affirmations work to change your subconscious mind by using positive, personal, present tense statements to override the embedded negative thinking.

By repeating these positive thoughts, you can create new pathways in your subconscious, giving it new attitudes.

Then your subconscious causes you to act in new ways that agree with these new attitudes.

For example, repeating: “I choose healthy foods at each meal” can change your mindset about what you eat and why!

2. Visualization.

Visualization is the act of creating detailed mental pictures that depict a desired outcome so you can see success for yourself.

These images stimulate the subconscious into accepting them as reality, which then directs behavior accordingly.

Top athletes around the world use this technique during game-time.

3. Hypnosis.

Some types of therapy work with the subconscious mind, including hypnosis.

Hypnosis works by easing you into a state of extreme relaxation.

Once you’re in this state, the conscious mind releases its grip, and the subconscious mind is easier to access.

While under hypnosis, it’s much easier to reprogram the subconscious into accepting new thoughts as reality.

4. Subliminal Audios. You can use subliminal audios while you sleep.

The conscious mind listens to music or someone speaking on one level, but the subconscious mind hears another layer of information recorded underneath the audible portion.

When awake, the conscious mind is distracted with the audible portion of the audio, making it harder to tap into the subconscious mind.

Using techniques like these can help you reprogram your subconscious mind and remove the burden of the negative thoughts buried there.

Imagine the freedom of living your life without the automatic dysfunctional behaviors you’ve had driving you for years!

When you transform your negative outlook into a positive one, you can accomplish so much more.

In doing so, your mind will be released from negative programming, allowing you to excel and succeed throughout your life.

How are you staying motivated?

How often do you resist change because of fear of making mistakes?

Five Simple Brainstorming Techniques

It happens to all of us.

We reach that dead end where we simply run out of fresh ideas and we helplessly fumble for solutions that have escaped us.

What can we do to get the creative juices flowing again?

One of the best strategies to resolve this dilemma is to use a brainstorming session.

The basic technique is easy as 1-2-3:

  • Think of many ideas in a short period of time.
  • Jot them all down.
  • Go back and evaluate each idea’s possibilities.

These brainstorming sessions can be invaluable when trying to come up with fresh, outside the box, ideas so we can work towards an effective solution to a difficult challenge.

Here are five tips to help you make the most of your brainstorming sessions:

1. Get outside input. Instead of going at it alone, get some help.

Gather a few of the most creative people you know for a group brainstorming session.

After all, two (or three or four) heads are better than one.

These other participants may come up with some great ideas that may never have occurred to you otherwise.

2. Let people have fun brainstorming. Relaxed people generally feel more creative, so encourage your group to pace, recline in their chairs, or turn it into a game – whatever they need to do to enable the flow of ideas.

3. Write down all of your ideas. Even if you come up with some wild ideas, write them down anyway.

They may be more viable than you think!

Some of the greatest breakthroughs in history came from ideas that were considered as pretty outlandish at first.

Write it all down and revisit it later.

This is a time for gathering ideas, not for shooting ideas down.

Avoid discouraging participants in your group because they won’t participate as freely and they might keep the perfect solution to themselves.

4. Be creative and try something different. If you can’t see a solution right away, think of the problem from a fresh perspective.

Look at it from a different viewpoint and maybe a new solution will present itself.

Traditional solutions don’t have to be the only way to solve problems, and getting creative may get the ball rolling towards the ideal solution!

Many successful entrepreneurs have a talent for observing people’s wants and needs.

Then they find or invent a creative new solution.

Watch the world around you and don’t be afraid to experiment with new ideas or unusual solutions.

Try combining ideas. Whether you’re brainstorming on your own or as part of a group, you may need to mash different ideas together.

Sometimes great ideas are born as twins – in the course of a brainstorming session you might come up with two halves of a perfect solution.

Don’t be afraid to look at the results in an unconventional way.

Some people have started their own businesses by combining their love of baking with their love of dogs to produce their own brand of doggie treats.

It’s not a conventional pairing, but it’s one that works!

5. Ask questions. This works especially well in group brainstorming sessions. Encourage plenty of questions about everyone’s ideas.

Questions can lead to a basic idea being fleshed out into a workable solution, and that, of course, is what a brainstorming session is all about!

Ask questions, discuss, or even debate.

Approaching solutions from different perspectives helps you see a larger and more accurate picture.

Acquiring problem solving skills makes our life so much easier!

Use these techniques to brainstorm new ideas and solutions, and you’ll discover new fountains flowing with ideas you never knew existed!

Problems can become opportunities in disguise.

You just may find yourself going from zero to hero in one short brainstorming session. Try it – you’ll like it!

Have you experienced running out of ideas for something that you need to do?

How can brainstorming allow you to get better options for the decisions you have daily?
