My generous spirit brings joy to others.

I bring happiness into the lives of others when I make their life easier, even in small ways.

Spreading joy also brings me happiness as well.

So I strive to make the world a better place.

I share my money with those who inspire me and those who need it more than I.

I give generously with no thought of a “return on my investment.” I give simply for the joy of giving.

I share the fruits of my talents with others.

When I learn how to build something, I build them for others as well as myself.

It is the same way with any craft or skill I develop – I share what I can do with others and we all benefit.

I share my knowledge of the world around me with those it can help.

I give advice and mentor others freely so that they, too, can prosper and live a fulfilled life.

I give unlimited love, support and encouragement to those whose lives cross with my own.

My time is valuable not only to me, but also to those I share it with.

In many ways, each and every day, I strive to bring joy to others.

Some of my actions may seem trivial, but they can brighten someone’s day.

For instance, when I make eye contact with a stranger on the street and give them a warm smile, it may be the only warmth they receive that day.

I know that I can make a joyful difference in the lives of others.

Today, I plan to focus on others and do what I can to bring a ray of sunshine into their lives.

When was the last time you went out of your way to help someone?

How can you spread joy in your conversations?

I can help myself by helping others.

I believe that what I send out comes back to me many times over.

When I help others, I am helping myself.

Often what I send out comes back in unexpected ways.

I don’t expect, for instance, to get rich because I bought coffee for the homeless man on the corner!

But I do believe that the kindness I send out into the world bounces back to me in some form.

It may be sooner or later, but it always comes back.

I recognize that it is counterproductive to give only because of what I might receive in return.

Doing so voids the point.

I give simply because people are in need.

As part of a family, community and society, I know that I need to help meet the needs of others.

And by being confident that my own needs will be met, I am free from the tendency to hang on too tightly to what is mine.

I believe that we are all fluid at our core.

We are meant to overlap each other.

When I am stingy with my resources and emotions, I build a wall around my little pool.

Sure, the gorgeous fish that I’ve stocked my pool with won’t get away, but my wall also closes off the source of freshness and life.

In due time, my pool would become stagnant.

When I remain generous with my resources, I am free flowing and open to the influx of life from all around me.

When was the last time you gave to someone in need?

How does your life reflect a kind and generous spirit?

There are times when I must rely on others. I accept this help with an open heart.

I accept help from others gladly.

Relying on others strengthens both my relationships and myself.

I enjoy being needed by others and love the feelings I get when I am able to help my friends and family.

It is in this spirit that I gladly accept help when I need it from others.

Helping and being helped builds a community that nourishes my soul.

Positive relationships foster a sense of well being that I enjoy.

When I allow myself to rely on others, I allow them the same rewards of the soul that I receive when I help them.

We build a bond that supports both the body and the mind.

When I am sick and allow others to help me with my daily care, when I am over extended at work and allow others to take on some of the load, or when I just need time out and allow others to take care of my children, I am forging relationships.

Just as I would do these things for others with a glad heart, I seek help with a glad heart, too.

Today, I choose to let go of the fear or pride that prevents me from openly accepting help.

When I allow others to help me, I am strengthening my relationships and building a rock-solid foundation.

How often have you allowed fear or pride to hinder your acceptance of help?

How has helping others and allowing them to help you strengthened your relationships?

My loving support network helps me manage anything thrown my way.

Life throws many lessons my way and my loved ones ensure that I get them.

They are my offensive line that assists me in catching whatever life passes to me.

Sometimes, I receive blessings.

Other times what I catch is an unforgettable lesson.

No matter what gets thrown my way, my loving support network protects me from things that may try to block me.

My support network does not solve my problems for me.

They help me to help myself. If they gave me all the answers, I would miss the lesson.

For that reason, I use them as a resource and not as a crutch.

My support network includes close family members and trusted friends.

Having a variety of people in my network benefits me by opening me up to diverse points of view.

When I have questions, I can always find someone in my support network that has experience in the area in which I need help.

My support network shows me unconditional love – and even tough love – when I need it.

They love me even when I make a mistake and feel unworthy of love.

They show me tough love when there is a harsh truth I need to hear, even if I do not want to hear it.

My loved ones stand by my side no matter what the circumstance.

When I feel like I am drowning in responsibilities and troubles, my loving network is my life raft; they carry me through the storm.

I am free from fear because I am not alone.

I can manage anything that comes my way because I have the advice, expertise and time of my loving support network.

Who do you include in your support network?

What expertise can your loving support network offer you?

I release the fear, anxiety, and anger that prevent me from communicating effectively with others.

I am able to communicate effectively because I let go of my negative emotions.

I let go of all negative thoughts and emotions that may hinder my abilities to communicate in positive ways.

I am a strong person that has control of my emotions.

I take pride in my ability to stay level headed and calm, and I step back from my emotions long enough to think about what I want to convey to others.

Negative emotions, such as anger, fear, and anxiety, impede good communication.

I am able to remain calm and communicate in a peaceful way; my communication is safe when I release my anger.

I am able to take a deep breath and overcome my fears when I communicate; my communication is honest when I release my fears.

I am able to take the time I need to relax and communicate in a way that is focused and productive; my communication is concise when I release my anxiety.

Letting go of anger, fear and anxiety assures me that I can communicate productively.

Today I will take charge of my emotions and allow myself to let go of anxiety, fear and anger to better communicate.

I will convey my thoughts and feelings in a positive way that offers safety, focus and productivity.

How can you control your emotions?

How can you let go of fear, anxiety and anger when you communicate?

I give to others.

I make it a priority to give to others because I firmly believe that what I send out comes back to me.

I give financially according to my ability to do so.

I have let go of the idea that I must be able to give a huge sum in order for it to be worthwhile.

Even a bag of groceries to the local food shelter, or a cup of hot coffee for the homeless man on the corner, can go a long ways toward improving someone’s day.

I’m not out to change the world, but I do strive to make ripples in my corner.

With that in mind, I also donate my time and energy to the improvement of my community.

I may not have the means or even the desire to run for public office, but I can volunteer to read with children at the local school, spend an afternoon helping at the food bank, or do any number of other activities for the betterment of society.

I strive to use my skills and talents to give back to my community.

When I evaluate what I am doing with my God-given interests and abilities, I look beyond earning capacity and focus on what I can do to help others as well.

I let go of the notion that my needs must be completely met first in order to be able to give.

By opening up to the needs of others, I am fulfilled.

Whose need could I help meet today?

How can I use my skills to better my community?

I am committed to my relationships, my responsibilities, and myself. By being committed to these things, I am whole.

I am faithful to my relationships because my family and I together are strong.

My partner is my best friend.

We lend our strengths to one another and fill each other’s gaps.

My relationships complete me.

I am dedicated to my responsibilities because there are things in this life that I am held accountable for.

Someone else may be relying on me to hold up my end of the deal.

By being committed to my responsibilities, others can count on me.

I am committed to my responsibilities because it is important for me to be trustworthy and accountable.

I am devoted to myself because I believe in myself first and foremost.

I love myself; therefore I can love others.

I am loyal to myself because I am worthy of that commitment.

I know I can always count on myself even if I cannot rely on others.

I am committed to myself because I am worth it.

I am committed to my relationships, responsibilities, and myself because this commitment is essential to my life and makes me whole.

How do you show your commitment to yourself?

How do you show your dedicated to your responsibilities?

I feel great satisfaction when helping others.

I feel great satisfaction when helping others because I know I am contributing to the health and happiness of the community we all share.

I am fully aware that if I want others to be available when I need them, I must also be there for them when they need me.

Consequently, I invest time in developing reciprocal relationships that will help us both reach fulfillment and achieve our goals.

However, I am even more satisfied when I help those who can offer me nothing in return.

When I help someone who is poor or sick, old or young, I am doing so because I recognize that a society’s greatness is evident in the way it treats its weakest members.

We are all a vital part of the whole, and by lifting up those who need help; I am doing my part to strengthen the entire community of my life.

I believe that what I give to those who are unable to repay me does come back to me many times over in the form of increased fulfillment and happiness.

I am confident that when I invest my time, emotions, and money into my community, everyone benefits, including me.

What have you done lately to do your part to help care for others?

What rewards have you received from being generous with your time or money?
