Tranquility and inner solitude rejuvenates my soul.

I take time to myself to retreat from the noise of life and find a quiet place where I can find tranquility and inner solitude.

Daily, I make it a point to turn off distractions and focus on what is going on inside my heart and mind.

When I reflect upon my life, I am able to improve who I am.

Inner peace is reflected outwardly through my actions. My countenance reveals that which is hidden deep inside of me.

When I am at peace within my soul, I am able to accomplish more than I ever imagined.

I live every day of my life with a tranquil spirit; free from stress.

The small annoyances of daily life are incapable of stealing my peace because I focus on the bigger picture.

When I take things lightly and guard myself from worry, I preserve my health.

My heart and soul are healthy when I let go of the negative quickly and only hold onto the positive things.

Tranquility refreshes my soul like the streams of a fountain washing away all anxiety and fear.

I am bold and confident in my future when I quiet all the other voices around me and listen to the voice that speaks of my destiny.

There comes a point where I must stop trying to make sense of everything and simply rely on faith.

Inner solitude is that place which rescues me from the pit of the mundane.

Today, I choose to drown out the noise all around me and focus on the voice calling my name.

I am turning away from distractions and enjoying quiet time within myself.

Nothing can stir my interior freedom.

When fear and self-doubt approach me, I block them out of my mind with positive thoughts.

Peace surrounds my mind like a safety barricade, allowing only pleasant thoughts to come in.

Like a soldier, I have fought in the battle of the mind and won peace for my soul.

I have peace deep within my heart, which remains intact even in the face of trials.

My mind is empowered when I choose to focus my attention on positive memories instead of giving in to fear.

I am still because I know that I have a calling, a hope, and a future that I have yet to see.

I am certain that there is a plan for my life that is bigger than any obstacle I may face.

I have confidence in my abilities and in my knowledge because I have been created for a great purpose.

Loving and accepting the person that I am helps me feel free to believe in myself.

Accepting others just the way they are gives me the freedom to be myself.

My friends and family help me to be steadfast by believing in me and showing me their support.

Nothing can stir my interior freedom because I know that I am not alone. I have a loving support group that surrounds me and keeps me safe.

Today, I choose tranquility starting within my soul and stretching out to all those around me.

There is peace in my life.

Knowing there is peace in my life gives me comfort. There may be times when I feel overwhelmed by the various pressures of life. I combat those feelings by experiencing daily moments of calm.

The world occasionally seems to move too quickly. This does not upset me because I set my own pace.

I am capable of determining how fast my life moves. It is up to me to stop and enjoy peaceful moments in my life.

I find time for myself every morning. This is so precious to me because it allows me to enjoy moments of calm before my day begins.

I remember my dreams, prepare for the adventure of a new day, and focus on achieving my goals.

I also take time throughout the day to enjoy peaceful moments. When I take a lunch break, I occasionally go for a walk and simply listen to nature.

In the evening, I find time to enjoy a book I’ve been longing to finish.

While driving in the car, I turn off the radio and release my thoughts. I make time to relax in the park, go to the beach, or visit a museum.

Escaping for a moment gives me pleasure. When I experience these moments, I am revived. I feel rejuvenated and I know that I am able to take on the world.

I allow these moments of grace to enter my life daily. I am important enough to give myself perfect moments of quiet. I am grateful for the peace I have in my life, and I make time for calm to enter my soul.

I am constantly achieving peace and relaxation in my life.

I make it a point to foster peace and relaxation in my life, because I value my life and my well-being.

I slow down to allow peace into my mind. If a harsh thought attempts to assault me when I start to relax, I refuse to pay attention to it. Instead, I choose to be still, knowing that there are far more peaceful, positive thoughts to protect me against mental assault.

I train and reward my mind by actively following positive thoughts and allowing the negative ones to fall away unattended. Negative thoughts, left unfed, will die off. They do not distress me by their presence, and I allow them to come and go without any direct attention from me.

Periodic relaxation is the gateway to peace, through which I find health, wholeness, and productivity. By taking time to settle down and to open myself up, I achieve a richer and more fulfilling life.

I allow tension to leave my body right away.

My body is an open channel where tension flows freely. I am open and unresisting, and I know tension and negative thoughts do not control me. They merely are passing through as quickly as they arrived.

Whatever I nurture becomes a part of me. It expands, grows, and puts down roots. Because I nurture peace, I am confident that it will increase within me.

I am unafraid of stressful thoughts and feelings. Tension has no traction in my life because I let it flow through me and away. This makes room for more peaceful thoughts. Peace and tension cannot co-exist. Whatever I nurture will thrive.

Because I choose to nurture peace, I create an inner atmosphere conducive to improved health and creativity. I see no purpose in harboring tension. Instead, I let it flow away from me.

I take a moment to be alone and relax when I feel tension rising within me. I close my eyes, and let my thoughts drift through my mind like clouds in a summer sky. I follow none of them; I only allow them to pass through.

I know that my natural state is one of calmness and peace, and that, given the opportunity, my mind will return to this state. I let go and allow myself to return to the state of peace and harmony that my Creator instilled in me.

Five Ways to Find Inner Balance in a Hyper-Connected World

The modern world is always on. From phones that never stop ringing to email inboxes flooded with messages, it’s hard to find peace. You’re overwhelmed, tired, and trying to keep up.

Fortunately, there’s a better way to find balance in your life. Try these strategies to coexist with technology and still have inner peace:

1. Focus on creating a healthy relationship with technology.

Between work, family and friends, you may be online frequently. Your job may require you to use email, or your kids may text you updates.

How do you find a balance amid the technology?

* Craft a relationship that is based on intent. Mindless surfing online can waste your time, so ensure you have a definite purpose when you use technology. All of your online actions need a reason.

2. Live with technology instead of for it.

Technology and being connected doesn’t have to absorb your entire life. * Keep in mind that technology is a tool. Avoid making it the focus of your day or life.

3. Disconnect on a frequent basis.

It’s crucial to take breaks from always being connected to everyone through your phone, email, and social media.

* Take a tech break each week. Experts recommend setting aside the weekends for spending time with family and friends. Avoid surfing online, sending text messages, or uploading photos. Instead, interact with real people in the real world.

* It’s important to warn your connections ahead of time so you don’t cause concern when you suddenly “disappear.” They’ll get used to you taking weekends and vacations away from technology.

4. Manage your connections.

Do you really need to keep up with every person from your old school days? How many times do you need to check your social media accounts for new messages?

* It’s important to find a balance between keeping up to date with your connections and always being available. Of course, you want to stay in touch, but it doesn’t have to be an hourly issue.

* Try limiting the number of connections in your life to those that are important to you.

* Although it may hurt some feelings, consider “unfollowing” some people on social media, so you don’t have to be part of their drama anymore. Do what you can to maintain a stress-free social circle.

5. Partake in activities that reduce stress.

A hyper-connected world can make you feel on edge. It can increase stress and anxiety. It can also make you feel that you always have to be available to do everything.

* Schedule some time alone each day. The solitude will give you a chance to reflect, plan, de-stress, and re-energize. Try yoga, meditation, journaling, or keeping a diary.

* Pursue activities that make you feel peaceful and calm. Whether you hike in a park or dance in your living room, relax and disconnect from the world for a moment.

You can discover inner balance despite living in a hyper-connected world. Make these strategies daily habits and enjoy greater peace.
